OpenAI stops using ChatGPT voice after Scarlett Johansson comparisons

OpenAI announces plans to discontinue use of one of its ChatGPT voices after some users said it sounded like Scarlett Johansson, who famously voiced a fictional and then-futuristic AI assistant in the film " Her" from 2013.

In a post on social media platform X Monday, OpenAI said it was "working to pause" Sky – the name of one of five voices ChatGPT users can choose to speak with. The company said it had "heard questions" about how it selects the realistic audio options available for its flagship artificial intelligence chatbot, particularly Sky, and wanted to answer them.
