Follow these simple steps to delete apps and organize your device.
Please note that only apps downloaded from the App Store can be deleted from your device. You cannot delete built-in apps on your iPad, such as Settings, App Store, Safari and others.
The first is to remove apps from the iPad home screen.
On the iPad Home screen, swipe right or left to find the app you want to delete. You can also select the dots at the bottom of the screen to navigate the application pages.
Long press on the app and select the Delete app option. You will then have three options: delete the application, delete from the home screen and cancel.
If you select Remove from Home Screen, the app will only be removed from the Home screen. But it's still available in your app library.
Here you need to select the option to remove the app.
The pop-up will appear on your iPad screen and say: Deleting this app will also delete its data, but all documents and data stored in iCloud will not be deleted.
Select the delete option.
If you are unable to remove the app, go to the Solution section.
Alternatively, you can also touch and hold a blank space of your iPad screen until all the icons are shaking on the screen.
Tap the minus button option.
Select the delete option to confirm.
Now let's look at the second method, which is to remove apps from the App Library.
Go to the App Library, search or search for the app. Tap and hold the app icon until the Remove app option appears.
Tap it. Again, tap the remove app to confirm.
That's it.
Now let's see the third way to delete apps using the Settings app.
Launch the Settings app on your iPad. Next, tap General on the left sidebar.
After that tap on iPhone storage. Swipe down and tap Show all apps.
All the apps on your iPad are listed here. Tap on a particular app and you will see the app data, documents and data size. Select the Remove app option.
You may see a pop-up window stating that deleting the app will also delete all documents and data. Once the app is deleted, it cannot be undone.
Tap delete app to confirm. That's it.
If you are unable to delete the app, you should check the screen time restrictions.
Launch the Settings app on your iPad. Next, tap on Screen Time in the left side panel.
Swipe up and tap Content & Privacy Restrictions in the restrictions section.
After that, tap on iTunes and App Store Purchases.
Now go to the Remove apps section and choose the Allow option if it is selected as Don't allow.
Now close the settings app and head to the home screen.
Long press the app icon and select the Delete app option.
If the message still does not appear, I recommend restarting your iPad. And check again to see the changes.
Next, select the Remove app option.
